Grokipedia announced version 0.3 on Sept. 30 following an apparent pause in activity after April 24, adding a redesigned homepage and a new interface for viewing the latest edits.

The release shows renewed activity on the xAI-developed encyclopedia. Its homepage lists more than 6 million articles.

Grokipedia does not allow users to directly change entries. Instead, users submit suggested corrections that Grok reviews and may approve.

The encyclopedia is designed as an AI-generated alternative to Wikipedia, with Grok handling content creation, fact-checking and review.

That structure places the same AI system at the center of both writing and evaluating proposed changes. The latest release adds a clearer way to view new edits, while the April-to-September gap shows that activity on an AI-operated encyclopedia can pause without an immediate public explanation.

At launch, Elon Musk described the project’s goal as “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”

SpaceX announced Feb. 2, 2026, that it had acquired xAI. The announcement did not separately state that SpaceX had acquired Grokipedia.
