Wallets linked by blockchain security firm Salus to the July Triple-A breach moved 4,970 Ether (ETH), worth about $12.4 million, into Tornado Cash in 56 transactions, indicating the stolen funds are being routed through a mixing service.

The transfers took place Oct. 9 after the assets were consolidated into a single wallet. The deposits comprised 49 transactions of 100 ETH and seven transactions of 10 ETH. One funding path also included a withdrawal from an earlier mixer transaction.

The breach targeted assets held in the treasury of payment service provider Triple-A in July. The publicly estimated loss was about $11.8 million. The funds were later bridged to Ethereum and exchanged before being split across two intermediary addresses Sept. 6.

Triple-A previously said customer funds were not affected.
