China’s State Council Plans National Blockchain Network
The policy package also targets national computing infrastructure, manufacturing digitization and stronger support for digital-industry clusters.

China’s State Council outlined plans to build a national blockchain network as part of a broader push to integrate digital technology with the country’s real economy.
The policy package calls for improvements to national data infrastructure and expanded efforts to digitize manufacturing. It also includes projects covering smart manufacturing, industrial internet development and the transfer of computing resources from eastern regions to western regions.
The plan seeks to establish a nationwide integrated computing-power network alongside the blockchain infrastructure. It also calls for a policy system supporting both digital industrialization and the digital transformation of traditional industries.
The broader objective is to deepen the integration of China’s physical and digital economies and develop digital-industry clusters with international competitiveness.
