Darkfost Discusses More Than 20 Potential-Risk Ledger Dealers
The dealers have not been confirmed as compromised, while community discussions also mentioned some Lazada sellers amid an investigation into an unauthorized hardware implant.

More than 20 Ledger dealers are being discussed as potential supply-chain risks after the company confirmed an unauthorized hardware implant in one affected user’s device, raising concerns about whether the issue extends beyond CryptoBilis.
Crypto analyst Darkfost discussed more than 20 potential-risk dealers, while community discussions also mentioned some sellers operating through Lazada. The dealers have not been confirmed as compromised, and the discussion does not establish that Lazada sellers were included in the potential-risk list.
Ledger is investigating devices linked to CryptoBilis, a reseller associated with reported cryptocurrency losses. The company has not established that CryptoBilis was the only affected sales channel.
Darkfost said some dealers reportedly have regional connections and that a simultaneous supply-chain compromise could not be ruled out. The assessment remains speculative, with further investigation needed to determine whether any of the listed dealers distributed affected devices.
The issue follows Ledger’s confirmation of an unauthorized hardware implant in a user device. Potential cryptocurrency losses may exceed $86 million, while the full scope of the incident remains unclear.
Users who bought Ledger devices through potentially related channels during the past six months were urged to pay close attention to device security and consider moving assets to a new security device while the investigation continues. A device-inspection guide released by security researcher MagicalTux was also made available for users who want to check for possible tampering.
The next concrete step is the continuing investigation into CryptoBilis-linked devices and whether other sales channels were involved.
