Ontology’s mainnet has resumed producing blocks after a temporary halt linked to a security investigation involving an ecosystem project, restoring normal network operations.

Ontology said its core infrastructure remains secure and that the network suffered no loss of funds. The interruption was carried out as a precaution while the investigation proceeded.

The halt had been coordinated with most of the network’s consensus nodes. Block production has now restarted, ending the interruption for users and applications that rely on the Ontology blockchain.

The incident involved a potential security risk tied to an ecosystem project rather than a reported compromise of Ontology’s mainnet infrastructure.
