Ambi Opens Early Access for Ambient AI Apps Across iPhone, Mac and Watch
The startup’s software carries conversational context across supported devices, while its planned hardware combines microphones, a camera, speaker and display.

Ambi is opening early access for apps that capture conversational context across iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch, allowing users to continue tasks across supported devices.
The startup’s Tasks and Routines features are designed to work in the background. They can carry context between devices and prepare follow-up work without requiring users to restart each task.
Ambi is positioning the product as a continuous layer for interacting with artificial intelligence rather than a service that waits for a conventional text prompt. Former Plaud executive Peter Mo said the company is building Ambi to make AI available “anytime and anywhere.”
The apps include controls for turning listening on or off, and the listening status is visible to users. Audio is deleted after transcription, while retained data is encrypted and stored in the United States. Ambi does not sell user data or use speech to train its models.
The product also places responsibility on users to disclose ambient capture to people nearby. Mo said users have to tell others when ambient capture is being used.
Ambi is developing dedicated hardware with microphones, a camera, a speaker and a display. The device is expected to become available early next year, although no specific release date, price or additional specifications have been provided.
Early access for the software is now opening across the supported Apple devices.
