Starknet Says Its Network Can Upgrade Cryptography Without Address Changes

The network said it compared 10 blockchains and found most lack a quantum-security plan beyond moving funds to new addresses.

Starknet said its network can change its cryptographic system without forcing users to replace their addresses or move their funds, a design it described as “cryptographic agility” for preparing against quantum risks.

The network said it reviewed the quantum-security readiness of 10 blockchains. Most, it said, have no dedicated plan and can address the risk only by moving funds to different addresses.

Starknet said its approach would allow the network to replace its cryptographic scheme while preserving existing user addresses. The claim extends the network’s previously discussed quantum-security plans into a specific upgrade feature.
