Ledger Says CryptoBilis Wallet Implants Can Transmit Recovery Phrases

Ledger says hardware implants added to wallets sold by CryptoBilis can transmit users’ recovery phrases over LTE, creating a security risk for holders whose devices were tampered with.

The added hardware leaves the wallet’s secure chip and operating system untouched.

Ledger says its Genuine Check cannot rule out this type of physical tampering.
