Nvidia’s share of China’s data-center artificial intelligence chip market fell to 34% in the first half of 2026 as its shipments declined and domestic competitors expanded their presence.

Nvidia shipped 678,000 AI accelerators in China from January through June, down 44% year over year. Huawei shipped 572,000 units, up from more than 300,000 a year earlier, and accounted for 28% of the overall market.

The market shift reflects tighter U.S. export controls on advanced AI chips and growing competition from Chinese suppliers. The 34% share covers an unspecified mix of products, and whether it includes Nvidia’s B200 and B300 chips was not disclosed.
