Ledger Security Team Tests Recovered Devices After Crypto Losses
Donjon is working with law enforcement and contacting affected users after a compromised device was identified in the distributor’s inventory.

Ledger’s security team is examining recovered signing devices after confirmed user fund losses were linked to hardware wallets sold through Southeast Asian distributor CryptoBilis, CEO Pascal Gauthier said.
Ledger’s Donjon security unit is testing the devices, working with law enforcement and contacting users affected by the incident. CryptoBilis has stopped selling Ledger devices.
Ledger confirmed Oct. 10 that one affected device contained an unauthorized hardware implant. The company said there is no indication that its own infrastructure, systems or services were compromised.
Gauthier said all confirmed losses in the incident involved Ledger signing devices sold through CryptoBilis.
