Google Opens Gemini 4 Argon to Global Developers Through Paid API
The model is also available through Google AI Ultra, with access expanding beyond trusted teams and partners.

Google has opened Gemini 4 Argon to developers and enterprises worldwide through its paid Gemini API, expanding access to a model that was previously limited to trusted teams and partners.
The model is also available through Google AI Ultra, the company’s premium artificial-intelligence subscription. That gives businesses and developers two entry points for using Argon: usage-based API access or a broader subscription service.
Gemini 4 Argon’s highest reasoning tier has an Intelligence Index score of 53, matching the score cited for GPT-6 Astra. Google launched the model at $1.99 per task.
The rollout places Argon inside Google’s existing developer and enterprise billing systems, linking model access with its development tools and subscription products. For crypto developers, the availability creates another option for building applications that use artificial intelligence through an API.
Access had expanded in stages before the global launch, moving from trusted safety teams to partners before reaching paid API customers and AI Ultra subscribers.
