Starknet has added shadow accounts that let users participate in public decentralized finance applications without publicly linking that activity to their primary wallets.

The accounts are independent, user-controlled addresses on the Starknet network. They draw funds from users’ protected STRK20 balances, while the relationship between a shadow account and its main wallet remains private.

The feature does not hide activity conducted through a shadow account. Balances, transaction histories and holdings in applications remain visible on the blockchain, while the privacy protection focuses on separating that activity from the user’s primary wallet.
