Meta launched a Facebook feature Tuesday that lets users influence the content recommended in Feed and Reels by describing the topics they want to see more or less often.

The feature, called Your Algorithm, gives users a way to communicate their preferences directly through natural-language prompts. Recommendations update in real time as users provide feedback.

Users can open Your Algorithm through Facebook’s three-dot menu. The same menu also includes Interested and Not interested options for individual posts, and Facebook may ask follow-up questions about why users liked or disliked specific content.

The controls let users interact with the systems that rank posts and recommend videos. Facebook also updated the three-dot menu to make these preference tools easier to access from individual posts.

The launch extends Meta’s broader effort to give users more control over recommendations across its social platforms. Instagram introduced Your Algorithm in June, expanding the feature across Feed and Explore after first launching it for Reels in December 2025.

Threads has also introduced a related tool called Dear Algo, which lets users influence the content recommended to them.
