OneKey Ends CryptoBilis Partnership After Loss Estimate Tops $86 Million
The hardware-wallet maker is offering free replacements after Ledger confirmed unauthorized implants in devices sold through the distributor.

OneKey has ended its partnership with distributor CryptoBilis and is offering free replacements after estimated losses linked to compromised devices exceeded $86 million.
Ledger confirmed that some devices sold through CryptoBilis contained unauthorized hardware implants. Ledger said the confirmed cases were limited to CryptoBilis inventory and did not involve its own sales channels.
Blockchain investigator Specter estimated the related losses at more than $86 million. Ledger has not confirmed the total loss figure.
OneKey CEO Yishi Wang said no users have reported losses so far, but added that the security of user assets “cannot rely on luck.”
The developments were posted Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 2:29 p.m. ET (18:29 UTC). OneKey’s free-replacement offer is the next step for users with potentially affected devices.
