Shiba Inu (SHIB) holders are being targeted by a fake airdrop campaign that directs users to wallet-drainer links, putting tokens at risk when wallets are connected and approvals are signed.

The campaign falsely claims that a Shiba Inu airdrop has returned and asks users to complete a wallet verification step. Shiba Inu community member Marzael.shib warned that no such token distribution exists. The links were flagged as wallet-drainer links.

Malicious wallet approvals can give an attacker permission to transfer tokens without obtaining the victim’s password. The warning urged users not to click the links and to report the accounts promoting them.

Shibarium Trustwatch has previously warned about fraudulent Shiba Inu websites and false claims involving the SOU NFT. Users were advised to access official websites directly, check the domain before connecting a wallet and never share private keys or seed phrases.
