Jito Upgrades Solana BAM With 25-Millisecond Batch Auctions
The changes include improved bundle ingestion, FireBAM’s lower skip rate and planned maintenance before Solana’s Alpenglow activation.

Jito has upgraded its Block Assembly Marketplace (BAM) for Solana with bundle-ingestion changes and 25-millisecond batch auctions, while preparing a temporary maintenance period ahead of Alpenglow’s mainnet activation.
The upgrade improved BAM’s rewards performance primarily through higher tips. Its Market Tick program runs at the start of each 25-millisecond batch auction. FireBAM averaged a 0.05% skip rate across Epochs 1032–1039, compared with 0.13% for AgaveBAM.
BAM validators receive 35% of preconfirmation revenue through priority fees. Initial distributions are expected in October 2026.
Before Alpenglow activates on mainnet, BAM nodes will enter maintenance mode and validators will temporarily revert to ordinary Jito-Agave Block Engine mode. BAM-native features, including Maker Priority Plugin and Direct Bundle Ingest, will be unavailable during the maintenance period. Jito has not provided an exact start or activation time.
BAM Nodes ingest, validate and sequence transactions and bundles before sending them to the leader validator. The system is designed to support programmable transaction ordering and additional revenue streams for validators, node operators and applications.
The maintenance plan follows Jito’s earlier validator requirements for Solana’s Alpenglow upgrade. BAM validators are expected to begin receiving their share of preconfirmation revenue in October.
