OneKey founder Yishi recommends using at least an iPhone 17 with iOS 27 or later as a cold wallet, while describing the guidance as a personal security recommendation rather than an Apple certification or guarantee.

Yishi also recommends replacing the phone every one to two years. The setup involves converting an iPhone into a cold wallet.

Disabling network connections does not eliminate every risk for older phones. They may still be vulnerable if another person gains physical access to the device.
