DeepSeek Chat and Two API Services Remain Down After Outage

An update at 9:08 p.m. ET said DeepSeek had identified the cause and was repairing the affected components.

DeepSeek’s web chat and two API services remained fully unavailable after an outage began at 8:11 p.m. ET on Oct. 14 (00:11 UTC on Oct. 15), affecting the V4 Pro API, V4.1 Flash API and Chat service.

The incident was first marked under investigation. An update at 9:08 p.m. ET on Oct. 14 (01:08 UTC on Oct. 15) said the cause had been identified and repairs were underway. The affected components still showed a full outage, and DeepSeek provided no estimate for when service would return.
