Hornetsecurity by Proofpoint plans to add four Microsoft 365 security capabilities for managed service providers in the fourth quarter of 2026, covering tenant permissions, email assessments, employee training and administrator support.

The additions target administrators managing tenant access, security teams reviewing email decisions, employees taking awareness courses and MSPs supporting customer environments. Together, the planned tools address tasks ranging from permission reviews to follow-up training and product configuration.

A Tenant Risk Exposure dashboard will be added to 365 Permission Manager. It will flag anonymous access, external users, organization-wide permissions, public groups, inactive guests and orphaned accounts. Administrators will be able to address findings manually or automatically and review a report on tenant status.

Email Live Tracking will explain why a message was classified as suspicious or legitimate. The added detail is intended to help security teams examine possible false positives and other incorrect assessments.

The company’s AI Cyber Assistant, AI.MY, will join security awareness training in Microsoft Teams. After an e-learning course, it will ask employees three questions tailored to their awareness level and provide immediate feedback. Their answers will update a knowledge profile that organizations can use to track progress and identify further training needs.

A separate AI Cyber Assistant Agent will be added to the 365 Total Protection Control Panel. It will help partners and administrators with onboarding, configuration, product use and security operations. The agent will also help MSPs match products to customer needs and identify additional protection options.

Proofpoint launched a dedicated MSP business unit and introduced 365 Total Protection in North America in May 2026. The business is built on Hornetsecurity, which Proofpoint acquired in December 2025. In May, its network included more than 12,000 channel partners and MSPs serving more than 125,000 customers across more than 120 countries. The four Microsoft 365 additions are planned for release in the fourth quarter of 2026.
