Lido’s direct staking route lets users stake Ether (ETH) from Arbitrum, Base, Linea or Optimism, with wrapped staked ETH (wstETH) delivered to the starting network without manual bridging.

Under the liquidity-pool option, a local pool supplies the wstETH users receive. Their ETH moves to Ethereum for staking, and wstETH later returns to replenish the pool.

Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) carries the instructions and transfers between networks.
