Google Begins U.S. Rollout of Universal Cart Across Search and Gemini
Shoppers can save products from different retailers, get price and restock alerts, and check out through Google Pay or a merchant’s website.

Google has begun rolling out Universal Cart across Search and Gemini in the United States, giving shoppers one place to collect products from different retailers and return to them later.
Items saved through one service can be found in the other. Shoppers can receive alerts when prices fall or products return to stock, and the cart can show promo codes and benefits tied to cards in Google Wallet.
At participating retailers, shoppers can pay with Google Pay or send their selections to the merchant’s website to finish checkout. Stores identified for checkout support include Nike, Sephora, Target, Ulta Beauty, Walmart, Wayfair and many Shopify merchants. Retailers remain the sellers and handle order confirmations and customer support.
Universal Cart draws on Google’s Shopping Graph, which contains more than 60 billion product listings and is continually refreshed. The catalog supports the cart’s price and inventory alerts.
Google first announced Universal Cart on May 19, 2026, and initially planned U.S. availability in Search and Gemini for the summer. The Oct. 15 update marks the start of the rollout across those services.
