Apple opened U.S. preorders Friday for the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, starting at $1,999 for the 256GB model as the device prepares to reach stores Oct. 23.

Preorders began Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC). The 512GB model costs $2,199, while the 1TB and 2TB versions are priced at $2,599 and $3,199, respectively. The dates had been anticipated in earlier coverage of U.S. demand for the iPhone Duo.

The phone has a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner screen. It runs on Apple’s A20 Pro chip, and support for Apple Pencil (USB-C) is scheduled for later this year.
