Pyth Network data priced $2.04 trillion of the $2.16 trillion in tracked real-world asset perpetual volume during Q3, representing 94.4% of that market. The figures highlight Pyth’s use in markets tied to assets such as equities, commodities and indexes.

Pyth supplies price data to decentralized applications and perpetual futures markets. The Q3 volume figures describe activity in markets using its data; they do not measure trading in the PYTH token itself.

A separate tally across three categories put volume priced with Pyth data at $1.26 trillion for equity perpetuals, $458 billion for commodity perpetuals and $317 billion for index perpetuals. Those amounts totaled $2.03 trillion, or about 96% of volume across the three categories.

The DAO also has standing authorization to convert eligible non-PYTH assets and revenue it receives into PYTH for its reserve. The policy replaced separate monthly votes to use one-third of the DAO’s non-PYTH treasury balance and applies to funds the DAO receives, rather than all gross revenue from Pyth products.

Potentially eligible sources include Pyth Pro, Listing as a Service, the Data Marketplace, Pyth Indices, Pyth Core fees, Pyth Entropy fees and other DAO-owned assets once repatriated. The authorization established the DAO’s standing policy for revenue-funded PYTH purchases.
