Cardano Treasury Withdrawals Use 91.5% of 500 Million ADA Limit

The treasury held about 1.382 billion ADA at Epoch 662. A pending 22 million ADA copper reserve request would leave 20.6 million ADA in the tally if the benchmark remains unchanged.

Cardano’s treasury tally shows 457,395,629 ADA in withdrawals counted against a community-signaled 500 million ADA benchmark, leaving 42,604,371 ADA, or 8.5%, through Epoch 662.

The total covers 30 enacted withdrawals during Epochs 613 through 662. The 500 million ADA benchmark runs from Feb. 13, 2026 (Epoch 613), through approximately July 3, 2027 (the close of Epoch 713). The amount withdrawn represents 91.5% of the benchmark.

The benchmark was set out in an InfoAction submitted July 2, 2026, and expired Aug. 2. An InfoAction records a community governance signal; this one did not change Cardano’s protocol rules. Its terms describe a cumulative withdrawal tally for the specified period.

Under those terms, treasury inflows, refunds and returned funds do not restore room in the tally. That accounting applies to this particular recorded benchmark. The 42.6 million ADA remaining is therefore separate from the treasury’s balance, which stood at about 1.382 billion ADA at Epoch 662.

Treasury withdrawals require approval from delegated representatives (DReps) and the Constitutional Committee, and must comply with the applicable net change limit. Approval of a withdrawal is also separate from how the funds are later disbursed or used.

A 22 million ADA request for a strategic copper reserve was submitted Oct. 15. If approved before any other withdrawal counted against the benchmark, and if the 500 million ADA benchmark remains unchanged, the request would leave 20,604,371 ADA in the tally. That amount would use about 51.6% of the current remaining room.
