The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) plans to launch a tokenization service on Canton and Hyperledger Besu in the fourth quarter of 2026, with initial securities support shaped by participant demand.

The service will support a select subset of securities at launch. Which securities are included will depend on participant demand.

DTCC expects the service to become available on Stellar in the first half of 2027.

The plan touches on a broader infrastructure challenge: connecting traditional financial systems with public and private blockchains, a theme covered in a framework for connected digital finance.
