Bitget Plans to End Service for Some Users After $388 Million Breach
Affected users will receive deadlines and withdrawal instructions; Bitget says funds remain safe and the exchange will keep operating.

Bitget will stop serving some users through a one-time service measure after a security incident involving about $388 million in stolen assets, raising questions about account access and exchange operations.
Affected users will receive next steps, deadlines and withdrawal arrangements by email, through in-app messages or by push notification. Users who do not receive an official notice can continue using their accounts normally.
Bitget says customer funds will remain safe during the service change and the exchange will keep operating. Its support team will help affected users with open orders, withdrawals and other account issues. Bitget urged users to use official channels and watch for phishing links, impersonation accounts and unverified information.
Bitget confirmed unauthorized transfers on Sept. 25 and temporarily suspended withdrawals while investigating a security breach. Later disclosures put the incident’s stolen assets at about $388 million. The current service action is a one-time change for a subset of users.
