SecuX App Remains Inaccessible After Android Phishing Alert
The company announced emergency maintenance on Oct. 16 and later marked service restored, but users continued to report access problems the next day.

SecuX’s wallet app remained inaccessible to multiple users on Oct. 17, while Ripple Chief Technology Officer David “JoelKatz” Schwartz described an Android alert that directed users to a page seeking recovery phrases.
SecuX announced a major system upgrade and emergency maintenance on Oct. 16, then marked service restored later that day. The phishing notification surfaced that evening, and access complaints continued into the following day. Both developments involved the same SecuX app.
Schwartz described the notification as a scam. Tapping it opened a phishing page that asked users to enter either a 12-word or 24-word recovery phrase. The page sought the same type of phrase SecuX says it never requests from users. The company did not explain why the alert appeared.
SecuX is a hardware wallet maker. Multiple users’ reports on Oct. 17 conflicted with the restoration notice from the prior day, describing wallets they still could not access.
