Autheo Renews THEO Warning as Linked Sales Reach 291.7 ETH
Transaction analysis traced about 291.7 Ether (ETH) in THEO sales. The receiving Ethereum wallet held 700.81 ETH after bridge transfers, including about 400.8 ETH already there before the incident.

Autheo renewed its warning Saturday, Oct. 17, asking users to avoid THEO purchases, sales and bridging while it worked with technical partners on the Oct. 12 security incident. The update gave no new loss or recovery figure and no timeline for restoring the network.
The receiving Ethereum wallet held 700.81 ETH after the bridge transfers, including about 400.8 ETH already there before the incident.
Linked transaction analysis traces 280.70 ETH to sales from the first mint of 19 million THEO and another 11.04 ETH to sales from a second mint of 100 million THEO. Together, the sales total about 291.7 ETH, worth roughly $730,000 at Oct. 12 prices. The additional mint expands on earlier coverage of the bridge transfers tied to the incident.
Autheo’s Oct. 13 update said unauthorized minting was followed by transfers to Base. The project said it halted Autheo Mainnet block production, took validator nodes offline and stopped the affected cross-chain relayer. Those shutdowns were intended to continue until the vulnerabilities were addressed and the network could be restarted safely.
Autheo has not confirmed the final token count, net loss or cause. Its Oct. 17 warning provided no recovery amount or restart date.
