World Launches Finance Identity Suite as Zoom Human Check Goes Generally Available

The suite combines the World ID app, World ID for Agents and World ID for Zoom. Zoom verification requires an Orb-verified World ID and an Enterprise Zoom account; a successful match adds a Human Badge.

World has introduced a suite of identity tools for financial workflows and moved its Zoom human-verification feature into general availability, extending World ID checks to customer interactions and video calls.

The finance suite combines the World ID app, World ID for Agents and World ID for Zoom. Its cryptographic credentials can show that a person is human, is present in an interaction and meets selected criteria. Bain Capital, OpenExchange, Outtake and VanEck Funds are initial design partners.

World ID for Zoom compares an image from a participant’s Orb enrollment with a live selfie and a frame from the call. A successful match adds a Human Badge to the participant’s tile.

Participants need an Orb-verified World ID, the World ID mobile app with notifications enabled and Zoom’s desktop app. An organization’s IT administrator must install the tool, which is available only to Zoom Enterprise accounts.

The Zoom feature builds on a partnership announced in April. Because the check uses an Orb enrollment image, participants must already have an Orb-verified World ID to use it. The wider finance suite is designed for different points in customer and employee workflows.

The World ID app is available in more than 150 countries, where users can manage and present proofs for online human verification.
