XRP Ledger Fix Holds 29 Validator Votes as Oct. 23 Activation Nears
Three separate lending amendments remain short of the 29 votes needed to start their own two-week approval periods.

An XRP Ledger cleanup fix held the minimum validator support at an Oct. 19 check, preserving a possible Oct. 23 activation while the proposed lending system remained further from approval.
The fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment had 29 votes from 35 trusted validators at 10 a.m. ET (14:00 UTC). If the validator total stays at 35, losing one supporting vote would reset its two-week approval period.
The patch adjusts rounding for deposits to and withdrawals from single-asset vaults. It also changes when a loan is classified as late or in default. Other changes address delegated PaymentBurn permissions and controls affecting automated market makers and escrow.
The fix does not activate lending. The other amendments remained below threshold: SingleAssetVault had 21 votes, and LendingProtocol and LendingProtocolV1_1 had 19 apiece. Each needs 29 votes to begin its own two-week approval period.
The proposed lending system would pool assets in vaults for fixed-term loans without collateral. Borrower assessment would happen offchain, and first-loss capital is intended to absorb defaults. No Mainnet activation date has been confirmed for lending.
If support for fixCleanup3_4_0 holds, its approval period ends Oct. 23 at 5:34 a.m. ET (09:34 UTC). The amendment would activate at a later ledger checkpoint.
