Fetch.ai Says It Built a Starter AI Agent in 30 Seconds

The timing claim concerns an initial build. The discussion that prompted it also addressed the longer work of governing an agent after creation.

Fetch.ai says it created a starter artificial intelligence agent in 30 seconds, putting a time figure on initial setup as crypto projects develop software designed to act autonomously.

The claim followed an essay that described building an agent in roughly 75 minutes, then spending the next week on governance. Fetch.ai’s figure concerns a starter agent; it does not measure the work of setting rules for an agent once it is in use.

Fetch.ai develops a blockchain-based platform for agents designed to exchange data and make decisions. Its timing claim focuses on the creation stage of that work.

Other projects have focused on controls for agents after creation. XDC AI has made a five-step process connecting agent wallets to verified owners available. Nvidia has introduced software designed to restrict autonomous agents and monitor their activity.
