Payfinia Tests X9.150 QR Payments With Star One Credit Union App
The test used Star One’s mobile app. A Money20/20 proof of concept offered FedNow, RTP or USDC on Solana through one invoice code.

Payfinia tested an X9.150 QR payment workflow with Star One Credit Union’s mobile app, adding a bank-app trial to the payment format featured at Money20/20 in Las Vegas.
At the Oct. 19 event, Matera, Payfinia and Solana Foundation demonstrated a business invoice with one X9.150 code offering FedNow, the RTP network or USD Coin (USDC) on Solana. The workflow was a proof of concept, not a product launch. The code presented separate ways to pay; it did not show a conversion between bank payments and USDC.
Published July 14, 2026, X9.150 provides a common format for payment details in merchant-presented QR codes. It is designed for account-to-account methods including FedNow, RTP, ACH credit transfers, Zelle and stablecoins.
Payfinia provides embedded and instant payment support to nearly 30 community financial institutions. Matera has released open-source reference software for the standard. The app test adds a bank-app detail to an earlier USDC invoice demonstration. The participants invited more banks, credit unions, fintech companies and merchants to test X9.150, but no availability date was given.
