Ducat's Bitcoin lending protocol is available to invited users in a closed mainnet alpha, offering a way to borrow stablecoins against Bitcoin (BTC) held in noncustodial vaults.

Users can put BTC up as collateral for UNIT, a Bitcoin-backed dollar stablecoin, or USDC. Ducat's protocol is built on Bitcoin's base layer and is designed to operate without cross-chain bridges or layer-2 networks.

The current access is invitation-only, making the alpha a limited testing phase rather than an unrestricted public rollout. Hivemind Capital and UTXO Management are among Ducat's backers.
