Qubic has begun returning funds to verified wallet owners after restarting its network, with claims now open under a recovery plan approved by its Computor node quorum following a wallet security incident.

During the network pause, affected funds were moved to a protected escrow account.

An initial batch has been returned to verified owners, while other affected users can submit claims through Qubic's recovery platform.

Qubic warned that any wallet created with its web wallet before version 4.26.4 should be treated as insecure, even if no funds were taken. That version was released Oct. 19. Users of older versions should update to version 4.26.4 or later and create a new wallet.

Qubic plans to publish a full technical report. Affected users have until May 1, 2027, to submit claims.
