NEAR Protocol's Lifetime Share of Intents Fees Rises to 16.4%
Its 30-day fee capture rate slipped to 28.4% from 30.5% in the earlier comparison.

NEAR Protocol's share of lifetime fees from the Intents swap service rose to 16.4% by Oct. 6 from 11.5% in the second-quarter comparison, expanding the share earmarked for token buybacks.
The recent measure moved in the other direction. The protocol captured 28.4% of Intents fees over the 30 days preceding Oct. 6, down from 30.5% in the earlier comparison. The lifetime rate covers accumulated fees, while the 30-day rate reflects a more recent period. The Oct. 6 snapshot also came after the third quarter ended Sept. 30.
A fee switch activated in February 2026 directs the protocol's share of Intents fees toward open-market purchases of its native token, NEAR Protocol (NEAR). Intents has generated more than $52 million in cumulative fees, with more than $8 million in revenue captured for buybacks. The captured amount does not establish how much has been spent on completed token purchases.
The broader Intents service processed about $10.4 billion in transactions during the third quarter. Confidential Intents, which became available to developers July 7, held about $160 million in assets at Sept. 30, up roughly 463% from the previous quarter. The transaction figure measures activity over three months; the locked-asset figure is a quarter-end balance.
