NVIDIA expanded its open AI model portfolio Oct. 21, with crypto exchange Coinbase among the first companies working with Kumo, a model family built to make predictions from structured business data.

Kumo handles information arranged in tables and related records. Its models support forecasting, anomaly detection and fraud-risk scoring, while a companion library helps developers build and deploy tools for those tasks. Coinbase is working with the model family, though the announcement did not specify an application for the exchange.

The expansion also includes NVIDIA Nemotron Retriever models for processing documents and improving search. Organizations can adapt the open models with their own data and run them on infrastructure they control.

Other models address systems that interact with the physical world. NVIDIA Cosmos 3.5 provides world models for robotics and autonomous vehicles. Alpamayo 2 Edge is designed to interpret driving scenes and plan vehicle movement using computing hardware inside the vehicle.

For biomedical research, NVIDIA BioNeMo RFD4-Proteina generates protein sequences and 3D structures. Researchers can evaluate the resulting designs against their goals before choosing candidates to test in a laboratory.

The portfolio also includes NVIDIA Ising, a quantum computing model family introduced in April. Its tools address processor calibration and error correction.

Kumo and NVIDIA BioNeMo RFD4-Proteina are available now. Alpamayo 2 Edge is scheduled for download later in October.
