Etherscan Lets Claude Users Query Wallets Across More Than 60 Chains
The read-only connector works without an Etherscan account or API key and can check transaction status, token transfers and smart contract records.

Claude users can use an Etherscan connector to inspect public wallet and transaction records across more than 60 Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible chains within the AI assistant.
A user can check a wallet’s native coin balance or look up a transaction’s status using its hash, the identifier for that transaction. The connector can also retrieve token transfer histories, verified smart contract code, event logs and gas prices. Transfer searches cover the ERC-20, ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards.
Users can access the connector without creating an Etherscan account or obtaining an API key. Its access is read-only: it cannot sign transactions, move funds or change blockchain records. Responses include addresses, transaction hashes, amounts and timestamps that users can use to inspect the underlying records.
The Claude connector runs through Etherscan’s keyless Model Context Protocol server, which lets the assistant request blockchain data. That server offers 16 tools with rate limits. Etherscan also operates a separate authenticated server with 21 tools, five of which require a paid plan.
The connector was added to Claude’s marketplace in September 2026.
