Cardano Founder Welcomes TRON to Midnight Amid Nightmode Plans
SIG Network is developing Nightmode with Midnight, with a TRON rollout planned for December 2026.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson welcomed TRON to Midnight in response to plans for Nightmode, a system designed to bring Midnight privacy features to applications on their existing blockchains.
SIG Network is developing Nightmode with Midnight. SIG Network CEO David Millar-Durrant outlined a planned TRON expansion for December 2026; the system already supports Ethereum.
Nightmode is designed to enable private payments and protect wallet balances and transaction details. Applications would be able to determine what information users must disclose, separate assets and control access. The planned setup is intended to work with common exchange screening processes that help meet compliance requirements.
Millar-Durrant highlighted TRON’s use for business payrolls and everyday payments, including transactions with cab drivers and service providers. Those are existing TRON use cases mentioned in connection with the planned integration.
The design draws on Midnight’s selective-disclosure approach, which lets applications reveal selected information without exposing underlying data. The TRON expansion remains planned for December 2026.
