In early testing, WPP ran workloads usually spread across a multi-node cluster on one Google Cloud A5X instance, ahead of the service’s planned November 2026 general availability.

WPP also demonstrated a creative-agent system using A5X. The service is built around NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin NVL72 platform and targets AI training, inference and large-scale reinforcement learning.

The hardware design pairs NVIDIA ConnectX-9 SuperNICs with Google Cloud’s Virgo Network and fourth-generation liquid cooling. Virgo Network is part of Google Cloud’s planned multi-site cluster design.

Google Cloud introduced A5X in April 2026 with availability expected later in the year. The November 2026 target gives customers a more specific launch month.

The company also plans to extend service to local regions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to address data-residency and sovereignty requirements.
