Silynxcom Develops Prototype Wearable Drone Detector for Defense Market
The device is designed to analyze acoustic signatures with on-device AI; a mesh feature to share alerts is also in development.

Silynxcom Ltd. (NYSE American: SYNX) is developing a wearable drone detector that uses artificial intelligence to analyze sound and alert its wearer, a potential expansion into the counter-drone market from the company’s tactical communications business.
The device remains at the prototype stage. Its on-device AI is designed to analyze acoustic signatures in real time. The approach is intended to help detect drones that radio-frequency systems may miss, including fiber-optic-guided models that emit no radio signal.
Silynxcom is developing the wearable as a standalone product, with an option to connect it to existing tactical communications equipment. A mesh-network feature that would share alerts among connected devices is also in development.
The company is forming a counter-drone team that includes recent hires with experience at Israeli drone manufacturers. Its existing products include ruggedized tactical communication headsets and accessories, some of which amplify drone sounds. The new detector is a separate platform.
“By designing a wearable detection device combined with networked group protection, we aim to help address the protection gap at the individual-soldier level and turn one soldier’s drone warning into shared awareness across a connected platoon,” Silynxcom Chief Executive Nir Klein said.
