Coinbase Launches AiFi² Feature for AI Agent Perpetual Trading
Coinbase for Agents separately lets customers connect outside AI platforms to their accounts and grant agents permission to act.

Coinbase has launched AiFi², a feature that lets AI agents trade perpetual contracts on its platform, bringing automated software into derivatives trading for connected account holders.
Separately, Coinbase for Agents lets customers connect an outside AI platform to their Coinbase accounts and authorize an agent to act within the access granted. Agents can research markets and carry out trades on a customer's behalf.
Perpetual contracts generally have no fixed expiration date. Coinbase's U.S. index products are structured as perpetual-style futures with expirations of up to five years, so those products have scheduled end dates.
Leverage can increase losses, and positions may be liquidated if they no longer meet margin requirements.
