Pump.fun has made its in-house Pump Bridge the default route for cross-chain trades in its app, replacing Relay after a comparison showed fewer buy errors and faster purchases.

In the published comparison, buy errors affected 0.9% of Pump Bridge trades and 11.2% of Relay trades. That is a 92% reduction when rounded. The comparison also put buys through Pump Bridge at about twice the speed of buys through Relay.

Pump Bridge currently adds no separate bridging fee to trades. That fee description does not cover other trading or transaction costs. Pump.fun introduced cross-chain trading in May and had used Relay to route those trades.

It has described about 1.1 seconds as a theoretical minimum for a cross-chain buy, rather than the time users can typically expect now.
