Aerodrome and Velodrome launched Aero, a new onchain spot exchange covering seven blockchain networks that together see about $120 billion in monthly decentralized exchange (DEX) volume.

Aero is available on Ethereum mainnet, Base, Robinhood Chain, Ink, OP Mainnet, Arc and Arbitrum. The $120 billion figure reflects DEX trading across those networks, not reported trading volume for Aero itself. The rollout follows a previously outlined Oct. 21 launch plan across seven networks.

Under the merger, AERO and VELO will migrate to a new AERO token, while veAERO and veVELO will convert to sAERO. Dromos Labs is developing the exchange.

Dromos Labs founder and CEO Alex Cutler said all platform revenue will be allocated to AERO stakers.
