SSV’s DIP-59 Proposal Shifts Network Work to Maintenance in 2027

SSV Labs’ DIP-59 proposal would extend its authority to manage the network through June 30, 2027, while shifting planned work from development to maintenance in the following six months.

For the second half of 2026, the proposal sets two priorities: completing the Boole network fork and supporting Ethereum’s ePBS upgrade. It plans no new product development for the first half of 2027, which would be dedicated to maintenance.

The funding request covers $1.5 million in USDC for 2026 and 2.7 million SSV tokens for the first half of 2027. The token request includes an option-conversion mechanism.

The proposal also calls for waiving some past-due unpaid funding and requiring $900,000 in assets as payment security. Its management extension would cover the planned maintenance period through June 30, 2027.
