Olaoluwa Osuntokun, Lightning Labs' chief technology officer, urged users of lnd, btcd, tapd and litd to update their binaries or rebuild the software with Go 1.27.3 to address CVE-2026-111943.

The vulnerability involves a compromised certificate authority and may affect the security of related software. The recommendation covers all users of the four node software packages.
