SpaceX CEO and Chief Engineer Elon Musk said the company could deploy more than 10 gigawatts (GW) of computing capacity in 2027, adding to his recent projections for its computing buildout.

Investor Brad Gerstner said the planned deployment could represent about 25% of new U.S. computing capacity next year. He estimated the related infrastructure buildout could require roughly $400 billion in financing.

Musk’s statement follows his Oct. 20 projection for SpaceX’s compute expansion. He forecast adding about 10 GW of compute during 2027 and said he expected the company to bring at least 13 GW online by year-end.

Separately, Musk responded to a user who gave SpaceX’s financial reports an A+ and Tesla’s an F-. He called the grades reasonable and said the next financial reports would be more interesting.
