Conflux Releases Node Update to Address Possible Panics and RPC Errors
Version 3.1.1 adds catch-up synchronization checks and updates Linux builds to OpenSSL 3.5.9.

Conflux released version 3.1.1 of its node software on Thursday, addressing possible node panics, excessive memory use and RPC errors, while adding synchronization checks and updating Linux dependencies.
The release addresses a possible execution deadlock during concurrent trace queries. It also corrects incorrect peer reputation updates that can occur during simultaneous connections and adds block-body checks during catch-up synchronization.
Two other fixes cover tracing and RPC responses. Version 3.1.1 fixes a panic that could occur when tracing the genesis block and corrects empty or incorrect responses from eth_createAccessList.
Linux builds now use OpenSSL 3.5.9, alongside updated dependencies intended to address security issues. The release covers several node functions, from execution and peer handling to synchronization, tracing and RPC responses.
Conflux recommends that operators install the update. Those with running nodes should stop them, replace the conflux executable in the run directory with the v3.1.1 executable, then restart. New deployments can use the latest release.
No network-wide upgrade deadline was announced.
