Nvidia CEO 黄仁勋 said Thursday, Oct. 22, that strong demand for AI computing would push infrastructure companies to address construction and operating problems. Speaking at GTC in Berlin, he criticized global efforts to control AI’s development pace, calling them “absurd and ridiculous.”

黄仁勋 said he had urged Nscale, a U.K.-based AI cloud provider, to move its projects forward. He pointed to the company’s customers and said it needed enough working capital. Nscale faces delays in building data centers and limits on power supply, while its proposed $30 billion IPO valuation has faced questions.

Firmus Grid, another Nvidia investment, abandoned its own $30 billion IPO plan. AI-related stocks have recently faced pressure as investors weigh the large capital spending required by newer cloud providers. They are also questioning whether those companies can turn demand for computing into revenue and cash flow.

Nvidia introduced DSX Pod at the Berlin conference. The modular data center system is delivered in containers and is designed to simplify equipment integration and shorten construction time. Power availability, site conditions and supporting facilities remain constraints on deploying data centers, while the market weighs whether providers can convert computing demand into revenue and cash flow.
