Apple Starts Global Sales of First Foldable iPhone at $1,999
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for 256GB. Apple described preorder demand as extraordinary but has not disclosed an order total.

Apple began worldwide sales of its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, on Friday, Oct. 23, with U.S. pricing starting at $1,999 for the 256GB model.
The 512GB model costs $2,199, the 1TB version $2,599 and the 2TB configuration $3,199. The launch adds a new design to Apple's largest product business: iPhone sales generated $209.586 billion of the company's $416.161 billion in fiscal 2025 net sales, about half. Apple's fiscal year ended Sept. 27, 2025.
Apple Store locations worldwide began offering the phone on Oct. 23. U.S. preorders had opened a week earlier, on Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. ET (12 p.m. UTC). Ahead of the debut, Apple flagged limited store availability in the United States and Canada.
Apple described preorder demand as “nothing short of extraordinary” and said it was working to get the device to customers as quickly as possible. It has not disclosed a preorder total.
