Palihapitiya Outlines Hypothetical AI Attack on Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin Wallet
He argued that leaks exposing crypto ownership could create security risks and limit Bitcoin’s pool of potential buyers.

Chamath Palihapitiya described a hypothetical AI-enabled cryptographic attack on Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallet as a scenario in which Bitcoin (BTC) could eventually “get hacked” and “go to zero.”
In the scenario, an attacker would drain the wallet and short Bitcoin, Palihapitiya said. His remarks described a hypothetical attack, not an identified breach.
Separately, Palihapitiya argued that leaks revealing crypto ownership could create security risks and limit the pool of potential Bitcoin buyers.
At a zero price, holders’ coins would have no market value. The network might continue only if miners and other participants chose to keep it running, a zero-price outcome for Bitcoin.
